A Simple Reflection on a Trying Economy

I want something productive to do like recalibrate the price of a barrel of oil, or of a gorgeous 5 bdrm/3 bath home that just tanked 75K in value. Tragically, I can’t, so I don’t. My solo impact opportunity in such matters is negligible.
I do, however, get to choose how I am going to interface with this mess, this economic typhoid with its sprawling symptoms and elusive prognosis. I do get to manage my mental space around this big, bad condition. And therein lies some modicum of control, if not comfort, I guess.
Perception is reality I have heard some say, referencing the power of attitudes and half filled glasses. I’ve decided I agree. The thing is we need to harness our perspective productively and get proactive with viable action. In my current reflective state, here is what I propose:
Let’s vote more, drive less, and keep our glasses half-full. Of a nice Cabernet. It can’t hurt.
